He is Associate Director of Clinical Surgical Oncology and Regional Treatment Center at Metropolitan Hospital. At the same time, he is a Consultant at the University Hospital of Sheffield, United Kingdom as a Consultant in Transplantation, General Surgery and Vascular Access.

He is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Crete and completed his specialization in General Surgery at the University Hospital of Heraklion. He Subspecialised in the field of Hepatobiliary Pancreas and Liver, Pancreas and Kidney Transplantation at Karolinska University Hospitals, Sweden and Oxford and Manchester University Hospitals, Great Britain.
